Wales

In Wales, we have been generating hydropower from plants that have been in operation for well over 100 years. We operate five hydropower stations in North Wales from our operations and maintenance hub at Dolgarrog, which provide 45MW of power and with a total energy storage capacity of 4,800MWh. We employ 25 people locally and are spending £5.5m on major maintenance projects in the next two years.

Scotland

In Scotland, RWE has a long and proud history of developing, constructing and operating hydropower plants. We currently have 15 hydropower schemes producing around 32MW of sustainable green power. Our most recently commissioned hydropower plant is Glen Noe, which is located in the west of Scotland and includes an installed capacity of 2MW.
