The East of England is central to both RWE’s and the UK’s decarbonisation efforts. RWE operates offshore wind, onshore wind, gas power plants and is developing solar power projects alongside carbon capture and storage projects. In addition the company has an extensive Offshore wind development pipeline including the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone a cluster of three projects: Vanguard West, Vanguard East and Boreas off the coast of Norfolk in East Anglia, which could have up to 4.2 GW of installed capacity.
