RWE’s response to the Government publication of the GB Energy Founding Statement and proposed partnership with The Crown Estate

"We welcome the further detail set out today from the Government through the publication of the GB Energy Founding Statement, alongside the announcement of the proposed partnership with The Crown Estate.

We look forward to working in partnership with GB Energy to deliver future clean energy projects, ensuring its investments are additive, existing industry expertise is utilised and private investment is ‘crowded-in’.

It is important that the proposed partnership with The Crown Estate to take forward early development activity for future offshore wind projects retains the significant expertise built up over 20 years by global developers like RWE.

We therefore look forward to more details and opportunities to engage with Great British Energy: The Crown Estate to ensure that any alternate method of project development is more efficient, timely and development risks are allocated to the party best placed to manage them."
