The proposed North Falls Offshore Wind Farm is sited in the southern North Sea around 25 kilometres from Suffolk on the UK’s east coast. It is an extension of the existing Greater Gabbard Offshore Wind Farm and currently has an agreement for lease for an installed capacity of up to 504MW. The project is owned in a 50/50 joint venture between sse and RWE Renewables and is being developed by a team comprising staff from both owner companies. North Falls is a Nationally Significant Infrastructure Project and is in the early phase of its consenting process.
