Latest Information

During the past year we have been carrying out a series of environmental surveys to help us design the wind farm. Alongside these surveys we have also held a series of initial public consultation events and the feedback from these has also helped us shape the design. We are now preparing to host a second round of public exhibitions for Inveroykel. Since our last round of public events, we’ve made several updates to our designs, and we believe it’s vital that local residents have the opportunity to view these changes and share their thoughts.

Public Consultation Events

Meaningful community engagement is at the heart of our approach—your input plays an important role in shaping our proposals.

The events are due to take place at the following locations:

Wednesday, 28th May 2025, 2:00pm – 7:00pm, Culrain & District Hall, Culrain, Ardgay IV24 3DW
Thursday, 29th May 2025, 2:00pm – 7:00pm, Rosehall Village Hall, Altass, Lairg, IV274EU

For those unable to attend in person, all exhibition materials will be available to view on this page from 28th May.

Printable and electronic comment forms will be available so that feedback can be provided to the project team.

Please note that any comments made to RWE are not formal representations to the consenting authority. If an application is submitted, there will be an opportunity to make representations on that application.

Community Support

RWE is committed to supporting the communities that neighbour our wind farms.  In 2022 alone community funds from wind farms operated by RWE in Scotland invested around £780,000 into local projects.

We are currently seeking input and ideas for the future Inveroykel community benefit fund. If you have any comments, questions or suggestions for the fund, please contact our community investment team.
