The UK plays a key role in RWE's strategy to grow its renewables portfolio and to become carbon neutral by 2040.
Between 2024 and 2030, RWE has an ambition to invest €8 billion net in developing new green technologies and infrastructure to support the energy transition in the UK.

Between 2024 and 2030, the company will invest €55 billion worldwide in offshore and onshore wind, solar energy, batteries, flexible generation, and hydrogen projects. RWE Supply & Trading provides tailored energy solutions for large customers. Innovative projects such as floating offshore and the use of hydrogen are proceeding apace. RWE has locations in the attractive markets of Europe, North America and the Asia-Pacific region. The company is responsibly phasing out coal by 2030. RWE employs around 20,000 people worldwide and has a clear target: to get to net zero by 2040. On its way there, the company has set itself ambitious targets for all activities that cause greenhouse gas emissions.
